What’s new in PlanMill Release 12.2.1 (January 19, 2010)

PlanMill Release 12.2.1 offers new enhancements, as well as addressing known and fixed issues.

Key features and enhancements

  • Project space/settings form/require overtime comment for billable or all tasks -> Time sheet will then show the overtime comment as compulsory.
  • Request form: New invoice reference field added. If reference is given here, it will be used in all invoice items related to that request. Otherwise projects invoice reference will be used.
  • Performance (under the hood): Implemented latest jQuery Javascript library (v1.4) for faster user interface.

Known and fixed issues

  • List view: Fixed resetting and AJAX loading for letter-filter on Contacts, User & Accounts list views.
  • List view: Fixed problem with interval filter got messed up when user switches language.
  • Off duty-hours: Automatic acceptance of off duty-hours.
  • Accounts & contacts: Passive account & contact status harmonization. When account set to passive all its contacts are also set as passive.

PlanMill Open API

  • Error messages have been improved by adding stack trace (check if this needs some changes in your application)
  • Location1 and location2 ID:s have been added to account.get to help you for example add contacts with location
  • API Documentation is updated and improved.
    • Get -requests use the exact same columns that are selected for the API user in normal user interface of PlanMill. More list columns you can find from the "Personalize" -tool in list view.
    • Default filtering is the same; select the "All" -values for all filters, or select the filtering you want to use as default for all e.g. task-related api get-requests.
    • You can also include filter-parameters into your API requests (see available parameters and values from the html source of the list). Typical list filter parameters are: viewby, intervalstart, intervalfinish, interval, week, etc.
    • When you are doing inserts with API, you should always give all the fields a value even if they are not marked as re-quired, because the default value might not be set for all fields.
    • For security reasons and so that your personal UI settings do not break your API requests, use a dedicated user for real application API requests, instead of your own.
    • The tools in each list view is easily available from the API (e.g. project space -> Team -> add as team member); if some tool is missing from the API, contact support@planmill.com
